CMprint 1.9: What’s new for the Cartadis self-service printing solution?
Cartadis announces the deployment of firmware 1.9 for CMprint. This update enhances the user experience, optimizes scanning functions and opens up new international payment opportunities.
A more intuitive and transparent user interface
To facilitate the autonomy of users on the printing terminals, several visual adjustments have been integrated:
- Display of supported formats: Users can now instantly view the file formats that are supported for printing via USB and PrinterKiosk.
- Payment Clarity: To avoid confusion during cash transactions, the “Does not give change” statement is now explicitly displayed on the home screen.
- Maintenance alerts: If there is a shortage of paper or low toner, a notification appears immediately, reducing the frustration associated with service interruptions.

Major improvements to the Scan function
A new “Options” button makes its appearance, allowing precise settings before each scan:
- A3 format management: Support of the A3 scan in landscape mode.
- Resolution and source: Possibility to choose the resolution (up to 600 DPI for A4 and up to 400 DPI for A3) and the document source (glass or ADF).
- Productivity: These advanced settings allow for professional scanning quality directly from the kiosk.

Compliance and technical reliability
In addition to the visible features, version 1.9 brings strategic stability and compliance fixes:
- EVA-DTS Standard (Italy): CMprint is now compliant with the strict Italian requirements for electronic sales recording and anti-tax fraud.
- Smart Copy error handling: Improved error messages (offline MFP, empty tray) via explicit pop-ups for simplified maintenance.
- USB Compatibility: NTFS file system support for faster updates and better detection of files on USB drives.
